Etizolam is a class of drugs known as diazepines, which are rapidly metabolized and have a very low risk of bioaccumulation, even with long-term treatment programs. The drug has been known by several different brand names, including Etilaam, Etizola, Sedekopan, Etizest and Etizex. It helps combat insomnia, promote calmness, enhance concentration and uplift your mood.
Etizolam reaches its peak within 30 minutes to 2 hours after ingestion, and it has an average half-life of 3 hours and 24 minutes. Its effects are produced in a linear, dose-dependent manner . It has a bioavailability rate of 93 percent when taken orally. According to research, it seems to have no adverse effects on fertility, development or in-utero development. However, short-term adverse effects can occur, such as feeling sedated and drowsy, muscle weakness, lack of coordination, headache, depression, fainting, confusion or tremors .
Back in a 1989 study published in the “Journal of International Medical Research,” 45 patients with anxiety disorder took etizolam twice a day for 4 weeks. The drug showed to have anxiety-reducing and antidepressant effects in the participants within 2 weeks of administration .
