Pharmacokinetics
SGT-67 is a synthetic cannabinoid in the indazole family, known in scientific nomenclature as 1-(5-fluoropentyl)-n-(2-phenylpropan-2-yl)-1h-indole-3-carboxamide (C23H27FN2O). It’s a derivative of the aminoalkylindole cannabinoid known as AM2201. Also called 5F-CUMYL-PICA, SGT-67 is an analogue of CUMYL-PICA, differentiated by the addition of an alkyl-terminal fluorine atom [1].
The substance is a white powder, and little is yet known about its physiological and toxicological properties.
Scientific Studies:
In a 2019 study published in “Forensic Toxicology,” scientists found that SGT-67 metabolizes and functions in a similar way as the synthetic cannabinoids AM-2201 and JWH-018. It demonstrated full agonistic activity at the CB1 receptor, suggesting its cannabimimetic effects [2].
A study published in “Neuropharmacology” compared the effects of SGT-67 to the effects of THC on mice. The results showed that the compound has a high affinity for both the CB1 and CB2 receptors, and that it has better efficacy and induces greater maximal effects compared to THC. This study concluded that SGT-67 causes THC-like effects in mice relevant to subjective effects in humans [3].
